But, there are other ways to close your position and probably the best way is to click on Close in Spread Betting Programme and that will bring up the trade ticket but also show that you can only do one action. That action obviously being the reverse of what you did to open it. So you could only sell here and that will close your trade and already I’ve shown lots of opening and closing of positions by trading in and out, in and out.
What’s also important obviously is where your stop loss is. You’ll see here if you click on the order book that you have a stop loss at 111.04 and you may think that’s too far away or too close, so you can actually amend that by clicking on the Amend button and the order window will pop up. From here you can see that there’s a number of ways you can amend it, you can just use the arrows or you can type in, you can see here and it usefully tells you how much that you potentially can lose.
